Trash & Recycling

The City of Silver Falls provides residential curbside collection of household trash, recycling, yard waste (seasonal), and special bulky item pick-up. Service is managed by the Public Works Department.

Collection Schedule

Trash and recycling are collected on the same weekday, alternating between pickup weeks for recycling.

Monday: Northbank & Riverside neighborhoods
Tuesdays: Downtown & Riverfront District
Wednesday: Silver Park & Eastside
Thursday: Southside & Greenwood Ridge
Friday: Lakewood Terrace & Industrial District

Accepted Recycling Materials

Plastic bottles and containers #1–#5
Aluminum and steel cans
Glass bottles and jars
Flattened cardboard and paperboard
Newspaper, mail, and office paper

Recycling should be clean, empty, and loose. Do not bag recycling.

Items Not Accepted in Recycling

Plastic bags and film wrap
Styrofoam
Food waste
Electronics
Household hazardous materials

Improper items may result in a non-collection notice.

Yard Waste & Leaf Collection (Seasonal)

Branches and sticks must be bundled and tied
No dirt, mulch, sod, or stones

Bulky Item Pick-Up

Bulky items require a scheduled collection. Fees may apply depending on size and material.
